Professional Portfolio

Hello! Welcome to my professional portfolio.

My name is Amy O'Neal and I am seeking to make my mark in the education field. While I currently have little professional experience as a teacher, I have been homeschooling my son for the past 2 years (he is nearly 4 1/2 years old), I have dipped my toes into the daycare environment briefly, and I presently hold a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education Administration. I also began my Master of Arts in June with an intended graduation date of October, 2018.

I feel that one thing that truly stands out with me as an educator is that I am openly and deeply passionate about bringing knowledge and understanding to others, especially younger people. For me, it is never a matter of being done with learning. I try to learn something new every day, even if it is something very minor like someone's name. I wish to find a way to bring the love of learning to as many families and children as I can, and begin to close the achievement gap in our nation as well.

I will try to keep up with updates, and I encourage others to share with me any advice, suggestions, or words of encouragement. I only request that any negativity be kept from my pages.
